Instructions to change your email address.

1.  Note. Only the part of your email address that is changing is at
     the end of your address.
         
             Example:   Brad @ Rockford.com 
                
               New:     Brad @ Rkfd.com
       
              I put spaces before and after the @ sign only to make it clear to read.
              You will not put the spaces in your email address.
              Our mail server is not CASE SENSITIVE. Capital letter are only cosmetic.

2.  Open your email program:  Outlook express is what most people use for email.

3.  Click TOOLS at the top of the program,  

4.  On the drop down menu Click on ACCOUNTS

5.  Make sure your little MAIL tab is pushed where the 3 tabs are located "Mail News All"

6.   Click on your account name.  Usually it reads "Rockford.com"

7.     Click the PROPERTIES button on the right.

8.  The second line from the bottom on the General page is where you change your email 
    address from ROCKFORD.COM to RKFD.com  
    Remember DO NOT leave any spaces in your email address.

9.  Click on the SERVER tab at the top of the properties window.

NOTE:  If you can not change your mail server names because they are grayed out then you will
     need to go back to the accounts menu and hit the remove button to remove the account.
     Then you click the ADD button and MAIL button to start the new account rebuild.
     Just follow the questions it asks you and it will finish fine.  You will need your 
     Password to complete this install.

9.1  You are using a POP server so LEAVE the pop server set to POP3

10. Change the INCOMING mail server name to MAIL.RKFD.COM

11. Change the OUTGOING mail server name to MAIL.RKFD.COM

12. DO not change any other settings in email.

13. You may now start notifying your friends you write to that you have slightly 
    changed your email address.

14. Do not forget to change your other accounts over to the new address like your 
    banking email,  News letters,  Update notices,  Registered software notices, etc.

15. Your incoming Rockford.com email address will continue to come in for about 1 year.
    It will end sometime around Aug. 1, 2009.  That should give you lots of time to get
    things redirected to your new email address.

16.  You have completed the switch.
